Biography

My name is Jeremy Sulzmann and I am a photographer whose passion lies in discovering extraordinary stories hidden in our everyday lives.

The core of my work is street photography, which is the vehicle I use to engage with the world around me.

My work is largely unplanned and spontaneous - I create to tell the stories of moments that would otherwise be unseen or overlooked.

Artist’s Statement

In today’s world of sensory overload, all of us have been forced to ruthlessly filter; to separate signal from noise.

For most, it’s as natural as breathing: from the time we wake up, we scroll, swipe, skip and delete - allowing only the smallest remnants to permeate our consciousness.

We spend so much time in our thoughts or on our screens, focused on what’s next rather than what is around us - what is real in this moment.

I use the camera to counteract this pull; to turn off the autopilot and surrender to the flow of time and motion.

With these images, I invite you to take a closer look around you, to see beyond the obvious, and to relish what lies beneath.
